Kira

This past weekend Mikey and I celebrated moving in to our new house by inviting over a bunch of our super favorite friends for a fun little get-together. Yay friends! We had so much fun. We were in a mad dash all week to finish re-painting the entire downstairs before they came (I couldn’t take the green sponge painting and boat themed boarder anymore!) and finished just in time. Phew! I can’t wait to throw more parties this summer when the weather gets warm and we can bbq! Mmm, bbq.

Sunday morning I took a few photos of Kira before she caught the bus back to Brooklyn. Boo! Come back Kira! We are planning an actual full photoshoot in the near future, but in the meantime, here are two from Sunday.

Introducing Derby!

Super exciting news – Mikey and I adopted a new puppy! His name is Derby and we absolutely adore him. He’s seriously the sweetest dog ever. We adopted him from Growl, a rescue group that rescued him along with his brother and sister from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. The litter was scheduled to be euthanized the very next day so they pulled all three of them out of there just in the nick of time. Derby is a bernese mountain dog/labrador retriever mix, but I don’t think he’s going to get that big. He’s so adorable. We feel so lucky to have found such a little sweetheart!

I can pretty much guarantee Derby is going to be featuring on the blog a whole bunch from now on, but here are just a few photos I grabbed of my little Derby-doo!
