Ashley & Francesco – Engagement (round two!)

Yesterday I was down the shore for the annual family Labor Day Weekend block party. After spending the day hanging out on the beach and doing some miniature clam digging and skim boarding (hilarious video of Mikey skim boarding to come soon!), Ashley and Francesco got all pretty for round two of our engagement sessions. Ashley and I have always been super close growing up, backpacking through Europe together and being in each other’s weddings (my first time being a matron of honor next September!), so I told her I want to do a whole engagement collection for her and Francesco as sort of my gift to them. So while “round two” had to be a bit rushed because we had a block party to get to, here are a couple of quick shots we snuck in before the party.

The tide was coming in really fast so we only had a few seconds to grab the shot above because then, this happened….

I hope everyone has a fantastic Labor Day! :-)

Weston

My best friend since we were in elementary school, Jean, flew in from Pasadena a few weeks ago with her husband Tim and new baby Weston for my wedding. Jean was one of my bridesmaids and I know I told her this a million times, but my wedding day just wouldn’t have been the same without her there! She is just the most fun and adorable person I have ever met, and I’m so lucky that our friendship has stayed so strong through all these years!

I didn’t get to spend as much time with Jean and the fam when they were in town because of the wedding and the honeymoon which was a major bummer. But the day they were flying back home, Jean and the fam met my at my parent’s house for a little visit! So of course I grabbed my camera and took a few shots of little Weston, and by a few, I mean a million. But here are just a few for now.

Jean and Tim called this next outfit Weston’s motherboy outfit. It’s from Arrested Development which I never watched so I didn’t get it. But I laughed anyway.

This next one cracks me up. Jean and Tim were doing their best to try to make Weston smile and look at the camera. He is clearly not amused at their efforts. He’s all, “seriously?”

Yay! Something funny! :-)

Jean and Tim, thanks for letting me take pictures of your little cutie! I miss you already!!

My sister rocks!

You see that right up there? That exact replica of Glinda’s crown from the Broadway musical Wicked? Yup. My sister made that. She rocks like that. :-)

The charity is called Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the auction is Broadway Bears. Designers are chosen to create costumes for teddy bears for the auction that are exact replicas of the costumes worn by the characters in the Broadway shows. These bears are then auctioned off raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the charity. And often times the bears are even signed by the cast members!

John Henson was selected to design the bears for the musical Wicked. To promote one of his bears, he is displaying Glinda’s actual gown from the show and he hired my sister Andrea to re-create Glinda’s wand, crown and necklace which will also be on display to promote the bear. Andrea owns Anca Pe’elma, designing her own beautiful line of bridal headpieces and jewelry (she made my headpiece for my wedding!) and John had been referred to her when he was in search of someone to re-create these gorgeous pieces. I’m just so beyond proud of the amazing job she did! Below are just a few shots I took of all three pieces.

Danielle & John: Day After Session

One of the best things about having one of my closest friends be a photographer too, is that we get to invite each other along on all our super fun shoots! Katie recently did a Day After session for her totally awesome clients, Danielle and John, and invited me along to shoot! I was so excited because we did the shoot on the campus of Lehigh University which is absolutely gorgeous, Danielle and John are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and shooting with Katie is always so much fun – so I knew it was going to be a blast! Here are just a couple of my shots from the day. Be sure to check out Katie’s blog to see how much she rocked this session!

Officially Mrs. Tripaldi :-)

I’m officially a Mrs. and it’s so exciting! I even told Mike I’m going to try to iron his shirt tonight for school tomorrow. I’m trying my best to be domestic. hehe. We have so much stuff to do to get settled into our new place, first and foremost is go grocery shopping b/c there is seriously NOTHING in the fridge. Well that’s not true, there is a carrot, but it’s for our bunny Pocono.

Our wedding was honestly the best day of our lives. We had such a blast with all of our family and friends, and everything was just perfect. Here are a couple of photos our completely amazing photographer Jasmine Star took of our wedding day. She is a total rockstar!! To see more you can check out her blog by clicking HERE.

I love that last one right there. It makes me laugh. :-)

Tomorrow it’s back to the grind, woohoo! And I have a TON of work waiting for me, but I’m excited to tackle it. Can I do it? YES I CAN! Have a fantastic Sunday everyone!!
