The Goings On – Second Edition

Sooo much has been going on lately, things have been kinda nuts! I figured I should give an explanation as to why I’ve been such a slacker with the blog posting, so it’s time for the second edition of “The Goings On”. Fun!

But because no blog post is fun without any pictures, I decided to post two more images from my session with Alissa!

Umm, how gorgeous is she?! Hotness!

Anywho, here are the goings on:

* My wedding is 2 1/2 weeks away! I can’t believe it. There is sooooo much to be done, I have lists and lists, and included on those lists is figuring out my dress, which brings me to…

* The dress debacle! My dress came in the other week too short. Like too short even with no shoes. So the shop ordered another one and we’ve been crossing our fingers that it comes in on time. And it did! Hooray! Except the lace on some parts of the dress is bright white and on other parts is ivory to match the dress. Soooo basically right now my dress is in lots of little pieces so the bright white lace can be dyed to ivory and then all put back together. Fingers crossed it all comes out well!

* Late last night we received the news that my Nonna passed away. I wasn’t sure whether or not to post about it, but if I’m going to do a post about what is going on, I figured I should. Plus, it kind of makes me feel better to write about it believe it or not. I’ve never lost anyone so close before so it’s been tough, but she lived an amazing 95 years and we are trying to focus on celebrating her and her life, and taking comfort that she is in a much better place now, instead of being sad.

* I’m supposed to be moving all of my stuff into my and Mikey’s new place on Thursday and I’m totally not packed – AT ALL. With my Nonna passing away, it looks like the move in date may be pushed back to next week anyway, but I have to pack like a mad woman!

* And last but not least, I have soooo much posting to do! But with the wedding coming up and moving and the funeral, this cute little blog may (hopefully not!) be slightly neglected over the next couple of weeks! But I promise to do my best to get lots of posts up while still maintaining my sanity.

So that’s about it for now. I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday night. It’s time for me to go pack! :-)

Friday night

So tonight I watched the weirdest movie ever with my brother. I had no idea what was going on, and I was hoping at some point I would get a clue, but nope. Nothing. Has anyone else seen Southland Tales? Can you pleeeease tell me what happened?

Anywho, I wanted to post this photo of Mikey because he looks oh so handsome in it. My parents bought a shore house earlier this year so we’ve been spending almost all of our free time down there and it has just been awesome! I’m hoping to do some fun wave photos in the future just for me so maybe I’ll post some.

Happy weekend!!

Alissa: Portrait

Alissa came down from Brooklyn to visit the other week, so of course we just had to do a portrait session! Here are just a few of my favorites from our fun day exploring broken down houses, trains and barns. :-)

5 Years already?!

That’s right. I’ve just been reminded by one of my favorite friends Katie that it is officially 5 YEARS this month since we graduated from our alma mater, Muhlenberg College. I don’t even think I can put into words how much I loved college, and I loved it because I made the most amazing friends there. Graduation week was quite possibly one of the hardest weeks of my life (ugh! I’m tearing up just writing about it!) because I knew we were all going to go our separate ways and it would never be the same again. And while we don’t get to see each other every day, meet in parents plaza for lunch, skip class (GASP!) to lay out on the front lawn, or buy each other heaps of candy after a terrible breakup and binge into the wee hours of the morning, we still all manage to do a pretty good job of keeping in touch. I love them all sooo much, and I wouldn’t be who I am without them.

Here are a few images I stole from Katie’s blog from a day when we were having a little too much fun in the photo studio and Katie decided to make it a photoshoot extravaganza! Be sure to hop on over to her blog for some more of the fun!!
